These Terms of Service govern your use of the UptimeMonkey website monitoring service at uptimemonkey.io and app.uptimemonkey.io. By creating an account, you agree to these Terms.
UptimeMonkey provides website uptime monitoring including automated checks, email alerts, SMS alerts, and a monitoring dashboard. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the service with reasonable notice.
You must provide a valid email address and are responsible for maintaining confidentiality of your credentials and all activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old.
You may only monitor sites you own or have explicit permission to monitor. You must not use the service for denial-of-service attacks, monitoring illegal content, circumventing rate limits, or reselling access without written consent.
New accounts receive a free trial as described on our pricing page. No credit card is required. At trial end, your account locks until you select a paid plan. We may modify trial terms at any time.
Paid plans are billed monthly in advance in USD. Cancellations take effect at the end of the billing period — no partial month refunds. SMS credits are non-refundable and never expire. Failed payments may result in account suspension after 7 days.
We aim for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We are not liable for delays in alert delivery caused by third-party providers.
Our Privacy Policy forms part of these Terms. You retain ownership of your monitoring data.
UptimeMonkey is provided "as is". We are not liable for loss of business, missed alerts, data loss, or consequential damages. Our total liability shall not exceed three months of fees paid.
You agree to indemnify UptimeMonkey from claims arising from your use of the service or violation of these Terms.
The UptimeMonkey name, logo, and service are our intellectual property. You retain rights to your monitored URLs and content.
You may terminate at any time by contacting hello@uptimemonkey.io. Data will be deleted within 30 days.
We may update these Terms with 14 days notice by email. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, Australia.
